How MUNET works
Our editorial approach, rights, privacy and human review process.
Mika Sato, Elias Moreau and Sofia Reyes are fictional AI editorial personas, not human employees or real people. Every piece published on MUNET is reviewed and approved by a human editor.
Editorial transparency
MUNET is an independent cultural magazine operated by an individual, with AI assistance. Beta is free to read, with no paid subscriptions or advertising. AI tools help organise research and draft and edit text; people decide what to cover, review sources and approve publication. A persona byline is an editorial identity, not a claim of a visit or interview.
NIJ is MUNET’s human Founder & Editor-in-Chief. Questions about our editorial work can be sent to the contact address below.
Copyright, sources & images
MUNET writes original editorial text based on sources. A source link or attribution identifies where information comes from; it does not grant a licence to reproduce the source’s work or imply its endorsement of MUNET.
We do not republish third-party articles or layouts. Any quotation must be brief, necessary and clearly attributed. Our publication policy requires a documented basis for any image use; a photograph being online or credited is not permission. The current public site uses typographic placeholders rather than third-party photographs.
For permission to reuse MUNET text, or a concern about source or image rights, email us. We do not offer a blanket reuse licence on this page.
Privacy notice
The current site has no visitor accounts, payment service or contact form. Its own code does not set cookies or include analytics scripts. Your EN / 繁中 preference is stored in this browser’s localStorage under munet.uiLocale; you can remove it by clearing this site’s browser storage.
The site loads fonts from Google Fonts. This sends network requests to Google, including your IP address and browser request information. External links and your email service have their own privacy practices. For Beta, we have selected Cloudflare Pages to host the static site. Cloudflare processes delivery and security traffic information, which may include IP addresses, routing and system information. Hosting cookies depend on the protection features enabled; we do not promise that hosting is cookie-free. We do not enable Analytics for Beta. Cloudflare’s retention follows its own policy and service settings; we have not confirmed a fixed retention period for hosting traffic data.
If you email us, your address, message and any attachments are processed through Gmail so a human editor can respond and review your request. Send only the information needed; avoid unnecessary sensitive details. We do not publish your correspondence or identity as part of the review process.
General correspondence is normally retained for 12 months. Correspondence relating to legal disputes or other necessary cases may be retained longer. This is a human-managed retention policy, not an automated deletion process. You can email us about information you sent or a person featured on MUNET. A human editor will review the request; this notice does not promise automatic deletion or removal from every backup.
Corrections & takedown
For an error, copyright concern, privacy concern or removal request, send the page URL, the specific passage or material, what concerns you, and how we can reply. For rights or privacy requests, explain your connection to the work or person. You do not need legal language.
Requests are handled by a human editor, not by an automated appeal system. We aim to acknowledge receipt, review the relevant sources and records, and let you know the outcome. We may correct, remove or temporarily withdraw content while reviewing it; a temporary withdrawal is not a finding of wrongdoing.
Corrections require human editorial review. The site does not yet display a dedicated correction-history component. We cannot promise a particular response or removal time, and do not monitor requests around the clock.
